On the sidelines of the Festival Transamériques (FTA), choreographers Frédérick Gravel and Manuel Roque will present their latest creations to presenters on June 5 and 6.

Excerpt- Songs of Love and Collapse (Chansons d’amour et d’effondrement) : Frédérick Gravel

In this piece created last spring, Frédérick Gravel brings together six performers and four musicians, inviting us to traverse a space that defies temporality. Time stretches and contracts, while the movement flirts with extreme rhythms, ranging from slowness to high speed. This creation explores the consequences of social confusion, our closures, and the sensations attached to them.

Sweet Rodeo : Manuel Roque

(Work in progress — Premiere: November 2026)

An ode to alterity, this project in development is intended as a form of resistance against a context where social isolation and virtual connections invade our daily lives. A tribute to the passage of time on our unions, Sweet Rodeo takes a sensitive and energetic look at our multiple reflexes of protection and openness. It is an invitation to live together and to dive into contact with others to discover the most precious parts of ourselves.
