Voyage au centre de la scène, an interactive lecture-show by award-winning author Étienne Lepage, is set to sail along the shores of Carleton-sur-Mer on July 24, 2023, as a prelude to the performances of Civilization and Its Discontents (Malaise dans la civilisation) presented by Théâtre À tour de rôle.
Voyage au centre de la scène immerses the audience in the playwright’s dramatic universe, with readings and personal recollections. Étienne Lepage takes us behind the scenes of his creative writing through the works he has created over the past 15 years.
Together with Alix Dufresne, Florence Blain Mbaye, Renaud Lacelle-Bourdon and Maxime Genois, Étienne Lepage takes us on a 60-minute journey along the paths that have shaped his artistic approach.
Dreamlike monologues, philosophical outbursts and cries from the heart collide and embrace, offering a lens on the world we live in.
